2 way 200 deep pre flop call of 3bet is okay, despites the Ace in our hand. 4 betting is not great for me yet as I am not skilled enough.

*** FLOP *** [2d 6d Kh]

We flop MP and the NFD. The only hand we are crushed by is KK**, AAK* and K6** so not a huge range, however when we get it all in on this flop we are never crushing him so we should not look to put a tonne of money in. A check call is fine, if we lead I think it needs to be with the intention of lead/3betting, therefore we would need to know that he raises all donk bets before we do this.

NFD + GSSD to 2nd nuts. Does not really hit anyone, I think betting is best, if we get raised we can probably just fold, however given the texture we will not see many raises so if we can take down the pot that is good but also we start to build up the pot so if we hit we can win a big pot. 4/5 pot works here, if we can get some naked Q*** to fold that’s good.

We are 300bb deep vs. the min raiser. I like the 3bet but a call is fine as well as we will get 3 way with mass implied odds against PFR, meh OOP I like call although depends a bit on limper.

*** FLOP *** [3h Ks 5c]

Dry flop, therefore it is likely to have missed both of them. C-bet is necessary, although we do not love getting it in, they cannot have hit the board too hard here, unless they have KK** in which case we still have 6 outs or so. We do not like life if Shindziy raises though. In terms of sizing, 2/3 is good.

When facing the raise, I think I prefer just folding now, however peeling to see a turn is okay, it’s just not fun as we do not know what good turns are for us IF we are ahead.

*** TURN *** [3h Ks 5c] [8s]

Good turn for us, and is unlikely to have changed the hand, if we were ahead we got further ahead. Facing the bet though, I think we can safely fold, we are not getting great odds, and have no FE.

I think K*** typically just calls flop, so more reason to fold as this will weigh more towards sets, he may be bluffing but of course in PLO it is hard to bluff purely as you normally have some sort of equity still.

Depending on blinds/BTN, probably just fold this pre flop. Gap at the top and big gap at bottom with just one suit means that we pretty much want to guarantee we are going to be playing this heads up and in position before we consider playing it. Folding>Raising>>>Calling.

*** FLOP *** [Ts 5s 7s]

We get it HU and we have position. And flop a 13 nut out wrap with bottom pair on a mono flop.

If we bet and get raised, we have an easy fold, he is not likely to bluff here if he does not know us. If we bet he will fold lots of hands better than us, and we have the chance to put lots of pressure on him on later streets on pretty much all cards. Fine to open, we have 3 high cards that work well given that they are suited. We are fine playing this HU or Multi-way. If we get 3 bet, we will generally call to see a flop. Against certain short stacks, we can fold as we will not have the implied odds to call with our hand.

*** FLOP *** [8d 3c 6d]

We flop the NFD, against two short stacks and a regular stack. When we get bet into we are getting 2:1 on our money, this bet essentially commits him as he has put almost half his stack in so we can assume the rest of the money is going in on the turn.

If we ignore BTN for now, and give up 9 outs, we will have immediate odds of roughly 18%, which is not good enough for us to peel alone. If we consider the SPR is 1.90, we need roughly 38% to get it in. So raising is no good here as it gets us in trouble, as it is a marginally +EV against the bettor, and we are not closing the action. There I like to use our odds of taking maybe getting a free card on the turn, implied odds of hitting when we stack the shorty and the chance to stack the other deep stack player. This is assuming the player behind us is straightforward, if we flat and he is likely to get tricky and raise us, we can fold.

Facing a BTN steal when we are deep this is fine to 3 bet, I can also call a 4bet profitably despite the Ace in my hand due to stack depth. Against AA** I flop very hot or cold, which is good. I also dominate many of his hands that have straight potential.

*** FLOP *** [8d Qs Jc]

We have an SPR of 7.7, I’m OOP so my steal equity is not going to be great, I can bet/fold, I can check raise or I can fire 2/3 three times, there is definitely room to play here post flop. Need to play well as it is a big pot and mistakes can be costly. We hit a BDFD + TP + 13 card wrap. We have good equity here. What equity do we have against T9**? He can float us light here, he could bluff raise us, he has a multitude of options. I think we should bet, he will raise T9** but so be it, he will call with worse, and we can barrel a couple times as well.

If we check and he bets, we have odds to call, but I would say it is safe to assume that the stacks are going in a fair bit on this flop. So possibly a check raise is effective as he may put a tonne of money in post flop then fold which is cool. We do not mind seeing him fold either. Betting or Check raising is fine.

Here we got in trouble on the turn, we had a slight bit of 2x pot size on turn left and we could not bet/call, we had to check and guess. Checking the flop was the better option, I need to realise that my c-bet % needs to ACTUALLY be low in PLO, just like my auto pilot one in NLHE. But choosing flops to c/f and check raise is a different kettle of fish.

I have a premium suited connector, flops quite well, with blockers, does well in a variety of circumstances depending on action that’s gone before me. Here I feel like a limp would have been better given stack sizes, they are not going to flop well against limp/calls. I should just play for set value, as multi way my flushes will be good enough to go with a lot of the time given stack shallowness.

Played this hand horribly, I need to take note of Pre flop stack sizes in order to work out what my best plan of attack is pre flop as my hand can play well against various SPR’s and opponents, but awfully against others. On the flop, I overestimated my outs, need to focus on clean outs and to remember if a SS decides to limp/call pre, he is going to be stacking off fairly light post flop and my steal equity is not going to be great.

SPR 4.72, we have 2 PSB’s essentially, therefore I will be looking to pot two streets fairly often. Checking raising from time to time. On this flop we flop pair +OC’s + BDFD, not a great flop for us, but neither is it for villain as we will often have him in bad shape. If we get raised here, we can probably fold??????, they cannot expect us to fold our likely AA** so even though we are in better shape than AA** we are still shit equity wise. In fact, they never have 22**, 33**, some 32**, do have worse T***, but sometimes discount this....I expect to see AA** here a lot given pre flop....what’s my equity versus it?

I’m on the BTN, with 3 cards higher than a 9 and a suit, good to play, can expect steal equity galore with some definite showdown value. When we get 3bet, definitely calling, against AA** flop well, and can get in lots of spots. Given stack depth we can make moves on lotsa flops. On this flop, we would call with a hand such as T987, or T865 and see what the turn brings.

SPR 6.2, a SPR we do have the chance to just flat the flop if we want, however given this board we have an easy shove. The bet of 1.70 (into 2.25) is indicative that the stacks are going in on this flop a lot. They could have bet smaller as they are going to have to decide on their whether they are going with it here or not. If they are not, they can still fold our air out. We obviously raise all in.

So a reasonable flop for villain, I probably like a CR betters though, a free card would be fine, and we utilise some FE. However given it is the NFD can be certain that are never in bad shape, if behind have 12 immediate outs.....not great, but fine with SPR of 6 where requires 46% equity to profitably get it all in. I definitely prefer the CRAI I think.

We flop top set, in a 4 way pot on a wet board, with SPR of 15 with one player to act behind us. We have one player. Easy pot button when it is checked to us, free cards would be criminal! Facing calls, I do not expect to see any made hands weaker than ours as would expect to hear from them by now. K*** is possible but unlikely given texture, and would have raised if had a draw to go with the hand.

So there are draws galore. Good turns = Ace (3),5(3),7(3),2(3),3ish(1),K(1)Q(3),J(3),T(3) that are not spades. 23 cards, so roughly half the deck.

Bink, sweet card, we have to bet there, a free card lets them get off so lightly here, they can still believe we have AA** and call, they could get frisky with a 5 and stack off.....!!! WHY THE WOULD I NOT BET

Ugly play here, stuffed up turn and just tilted now. But we can now see the villain is going to get themselves into spots with dominated 3 card hands, is passive with pair + OESD, bets hard when checked to and SHOULD have best hand on turn.

We are in the SB, we only have one limper and we have a card with the 3 high cards and the NFD. I am happy to raise it here even though we are OOP. A call would have been fine to as we have lots of nut potential, but OOP in a limped pot where the only thing going for us is implied odds, I would rather build a pot and rely on my hands dominating qualities post flop.

We flop a GSSD, BDNFD + 3 OC’s in a 3 way pot OOP as pre flop aggressor with a SPR of 6.67......this is an awkward SPR, we are going to have to rely on steal equity a lot so we should ensure when we only c-bet when we flop a pair + draw. So we should check this flop. It is a dry flop; however we are going to have to give up a lot of turns, even if we improve. Our best chance would be too see the flop check through and our equity improve on the turn. Therefore a pre flop call is best, as we are not going to have many post flop situations, we should bank on our implied odds we can create. If we called, the SPR would be 28!

When we get raised, we should just fold, we have no reason to believe he is bluffing.....if we had AA** and felt he does this with 8*** we could go with the hand, however this is just spewy when we re-pop him, We have invested 16bb into the pot....we can fold, we only have 5 outs to the nuts, that’s assuming all our outs are clean as a whistle. He could have 4567 and we are farked.

We can see that we should look to set mine versus him with JJ** as he will be vulnerable to be over setted, we also see that they do not believe in slow playing and plays nuts fast! We got it in with X%

Pre flop, we have a broadway hand, that we will definitely play. Given that we can only hit the 4th nut flush we will only look to hit the flush if we are HU. The pot has been raised and called in 4 places before getting us, so if we 3bet, we are going to be playing a hand in a bloated pot OOP, which is good for our hand in that we have nutty qualities, so we could 3 bet, however I like calling better as there is a good chance we and put a massive CR in on the flop, and we can dominate people, so even though we are OOP we do not mind our implied odds

*** FLOP *** [9c Qs 6d]

Pot 1.75$

5 way, we have good relative position, but bad absolute position. We flop a massive wrap on a dry board, we have 13 nut outs, we also have a back door FD, but the straight is the only way we are likely winning at showdown.

The SPR is approx 4, so we will be getting the money in a lot on this flop, we have 13 clean outs, possibly a redraw if we hit. We do not mind a free card coming off, as it may get a hand such as T7** to stack off to us if an 8 hits. So a check raise is good here, the PFR won’t bet his entire range here, but if he does we could well see a call allowing us to make a shove, they will be induced to making some bad calls. If they fold, we take down a reasonable pot. If we lead here, we would essentially be repping a hand like ours, however without a pair, I prefer to CR.

It gets checked round to the BTN, he can bet here with his whiffs and made hands, if he had a hand such a AJJT he would be best to take the free card. He bets 2/3 pot, so he does not appear real strong here, so I like a raise, if we call it is going to be hard to win the pot if we miss. And we would not like c/f turn. A flat could be okay, but would need more significant reads. If villain flatted with AA**, KK**etc we can get off these here, whether he would be wise to bet them here is up for review.

julcor shows [Kc Qh Tc 9h]

Jubinator shows [Jd Kh Td Ac]

Uncalled bet of $2.52 returned to julcor

With a SPR of 4.8, we need approximately 45% equity to be happy getting it all in on the flop, we may not have that here, against this particular hand we are 40%, therefore we may have been better off just flatting and seeing a turn.

Given what we saw, we can see villain has a bet sizing link, he should have just potted it with his vulnerable 2 pairs, he had blockers though. We can possibly assume that this is going to allow him to bet lots of flops when checked to and he can rely on steal equity on latter streets?
