PLO From Scratch Part 3

Part 3:

Theme: Looking at equity distributions and using numerical integration to find our total equity on top X% of flops.

If we look at KK** vs. AA** graphed we know that we are going to have at least 50% equity on the top 19% of flops. And in these top 19% of flops we will have an average of 78.4% equity. What does confuse me is that our total equity is 14.3%, this does not makes sense with the other number but I will look into that at a later date.

9876ds had a very even flop distribution against AA** meaning it connects with lots of flops and has good equity against AA** on them.

AKQTss however has less flop distribution as it has an Ace, therefore tends to hit the flop hard or not at all. Therefore it plays horribly in 4bet pots, but still okay in 1/3 bet pots. Only time you would not fold to a 4bet is if you were mega deep stacked and knew they had a wide 4bet range.

KK72r is very polarized in its flop distribution, it hits VERY hard or not at all (most of the time), we essentially set mine versus AA**, therefore does not want a big pot pre flop as check/folding lots of flops is not fun. Facing a 3bet we can even fold.

Only hands like 9876ds to we call a 4bet pot with....PROFITABLY.

Given that AA** cannot be exploited if we know stacks are going all in on the flop, if we can get more than a 1/3 of our stack in PF we can shove any flop profitably, although it may not be most +EV.
